What it is
The Cotherm ELE14IN800UNV is a 3kW immersion heater fitted with a 1¾" thread and a 14" Incoloy sheathed element. It is manufactured by Cotherm for heating stored water in hot water cylinders. The element screws into the cylinder boss and connects to the cylinder's electrical supply.
Before you order
- Confirm the cylinder boss thread is 1¾" and that a 14" element will clear the cylinder interior and any internal fittings.
- Check whether the cylinder is vented or unvented and confirm the element type is suitable for that installation.
- Confirm the supply circuit and protective device are rated for a 3kW load.
- Ensure the cylinder can be isolated, drained and made safe before the existing element is removed.
