What it is
The Ideal 076866 is a gas valve fitting used on Ideal Commercial Concord CX Series 3 appliances. It holds and locates the gas valve assembly, keeping the valve body correctly seated so gas flow through the appliance can be regulated as designed. The fitting is a screw-type clip, screw and spring item supplied as a single unit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The gas valve body is loose or can be moved on its mounting
- The fixing screw will not tighten, or its threads are stripped
- Spring tension has gone, so the fitting no longer holds the valve correctly
- Corrosion, heat discolouration or mechanical damage on the screw, clip or spring
