What it is

The Ideal Microswitch Kit 075419 is a replacement switching assembly for Ideal gas boilers. Microswitches sit in the control circuit and signal when a mechanical action has taken place — a fan proving a pressure change, a diverter or valve reaching position, or a demand being registered — so the PCB knows the sequence can advance. This kit restores that signal path on the appliance families listed below.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to fire on a call for heat or hot water, with no ignition sequence starting.
  • Intermittent operation — the appliance runs, then drops out and restarts without an obvious pattern.
  • The fan runs but the boiler does not progress to ignition, suggesting the proving signal is not reaching the board.
  • Lockout that clears on reset and returns shortly afterwards.
  • A switch that feels loose, does not click positively, or shows heat damage or carbon tracking at the terminals.
