Ideal Lagging 069909

The Ideal 069909 is a lagging component used on Ideal Commercial boiler assemblies. Lagging provides the thermal insulation layer around hot internal surfaces and pipework, limiting heat loss to the surrounding casing and reducing the risk of condensation forming on cooler metalwork. It is a serviceable item, so it is replaced when the original insulation has broken down, become saturated or been disturbed during repair work.

• Visible crumbling, fraying or disintegration of the insulation material
• Damp, stained or saturated lagging, often with corrosion on the metal beneath it
• Localised heat build-up or unusually warm casing panels where insulation has failed
• Insulation disturbed, compressed or partly removed during earlier servicing
• Condensation droplets or water tracking around insulated pipework and fittings

• Inspect adjacent seals and gaskets while access is open, and replace any that are perished
• Retain the original fixings and clips where they are in serviceable condition
