What it is
The Ideal Rake 22-25 Section is a service tool used to clear soot and combustion deposits from the flueways between heat exchanger sections on Ideal Commercial appliances. It is supplied by Ideal under part number 068060 and is intended for use during routine servicing and commissioning checks. The 22-25 section range covers the larger sectional heat exchangers found across the Ideal Commercial range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Tines bent, snapped or worn so the flueway is not swept evenly across the section
- Heavy soot or scale build-up on the rake that cannot be cleaned back to bare metal
- Handle or shank cracked, loose or distorted, making the tool difficult to control
- The rake no longer reaches the full depth of the section, leaving deposits behind after servicing
