Ideal Return Flange 067888

The Ideal 067888 is a return flange assembly supplied with its pipe and gasket. It forms the return-side connection on Ideal Commercial appliances, seating against the mating face so the return pipework joins the appliance body without weeping. The flange, pipe and gasket work as a set: the flange carries the joint, the pipe carries the flow path, and the gasket provides the seal between the two faces.

It is used across the Ideal Commercial range, including the Viceroy ES models and the CFE 400-400E. Because the joint is under constant thermal cycling, the gasket and flange face are the parts most likely to need attention over the life of the appliance.

• Weeping or dripping at the return connection, often visible as a bead of water on the flange or pipe
• Water staining, scale or surface corrosion around the flange face or the pipe joint
• A gasket that has hardened, flattened, cracked or started to break up
• A joint that continues to leak after the fasteners have been tightened to the correct torque
• Movement or poor seating between the flange and the mating face, which prevents a reliable seal

• Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering
• Compare the part being removed with the previous numbers 81048965 and 1171911 to make sure the correct item is being replaced
• Inspect the mating face and gasket seating area; a pitted or scored face will not seal reliably with a new gasket alone
