What it is

The Ideal 067509 is a combustion chamber panel supplied by Ideal for use in its commercial boiler range. The panel forms the inner lining of the combustion chamber, sitting around the burner and heat exchanger to contain heat, direct flue gases towards the flue path and protect the surrounding casing from sustained high temperatures.

Because it is exposed to continuous flame, radiant heat and condensate, the panel is a wear item and is replaced when it distorts, cracks or burns through.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracking, crazing or crumbling of the panel surface
  • Warping or distortion that prevents the panel seating correctly against the chamber
  • Heavy sooting, scorching or blackening across the panel face
  • Corrosion or material loss from condensate attack
  • Flue gas readings that drift outside the expected range after the burner and heat exchanger have been ruled out

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as panels differ between Ideal Commercial variants.
  • Check the existing part number on the appliance data badge or on the panel itself before ordering.
  • Inspect the chamber door seal and any gaskets during removal, as these are commonly disturbed when the panel is replaced.
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
