Ideal 067503 Dtg413/5 Front Lag Panel 81231004

The Ideal 067503 is a front lagging panel, listed by the supplier under the DTG413/5 designation. It is an insulation panel that sits behind the front casing of an Ideal Commercial boiler, forming part of the appliance's thermal insulation layer.

Its job is to hold heat inside the combustion and heat exchanger area rather than letting it escape into the casing void. That keeps outer panel temperatures down, reduces standing losses and protects surrounding components from prolonged heat exposure. Panels of this type are commonly replaced when the original insulation has been damaged, compressed or contaminated during servicing.

• Visible cracking, crumbling or delamination of the panel surface
• Insulation compressed or missing in sections, leaving bare casing areas
• Heat discolouration or scorching on the front casing or nearby components
• Water staining or softening of the panel after a leak or condensate ingress
• Panel no longer sits flat against the casing, leaving gaps around the front

• Confirm the boiler model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering, as lagging panels are model-specific.
• Check the part number on the existing panel or in the appliance documentation; the Caradon number 67503 may appear on older labelling.
• Inspect the casing fixings and any seals or gaskets disturbed during removal, as these are separate items.
• Work on the appliance casing should be carried out by a competent engineer, with the boiler isolated and cooled before panels are removed.
