What it is

The Ideal 065855 is a 1 1/2 inch plug from Ideal's caps, plugs and sockets range. It closes off a threaded port on the appliance assembly, sealing the opening against water or system pressure. It is used across the Ideal Commercial Buccaneer family of appliances.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or tracking from around the plug seating
  • Corrosion, pitting or scale build-up on the plug body or threads
  • Damp staining or mineral deposits on the surrounding casing or pipework
  • A plug that will not seal after refitting, or threads that bind and round off
  • Unexplained loss of system pressure traced to the plug position

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering
  • Check the numbers on the existing part against 065855, 94950249 and 1171190
  • Have a suitable sealing washer or thread sealant to hand, as the plug relies on a sound seal at the port
  • Isolate and drain the appliance before removing the old plug
