What it is
The Vaillant 065153 is a secondary heat exchanger built with a 20-plate stack, manufactured by Vaillant for its domestic boiler range. In a condensing appliance the secondary heat exchanger takes heat from the primary circuit and passes it to the domestic hot water, so the plate pack sits on the DHW side of the boiler. It is a serviceable component, replaced when the plates become scaled, restricted or begin to weep.
