What it is
The Baxi 062571 is a No.8AB x 13mm steel screw with a pan head and Pozi (Pz) drive, zinc plated for corrosion resistance. It is a fixing used across a wide range of Baxi Bermuda, Boston and FS series boilers and gas fires. It secures panels, covers and internal components where a short self-tapping screw is specified.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The Pozi recess is rounded or chewed, so the driver slips under load
- The head is sheared off or the shank is snapped
- Heavy corrosion or white rust across the head and thread
- The screw will not tighten and spins in the fixing point
- A panel or cover it retains is loose, rattling or sitting proud
