What it is

The Saunier Duval ignition and flame detection electrode, part number 05600200, is a combined spark and flame sensing electrode fitted to the burner assembly of Saunier Duval gas boilers. It delivers the ignition spark at the burner and signals the PCB once a flame is established. It is used across the Sylva, Twin, Thelia and Opalia ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Boiler fails to ignite and locks out on start-up
  • No spark, or an intermittent spark, at the burner
  • Burner lights but the flame is not detected, causing a lockout shortly after ignition
  • Repeated lockouts that clear after a reset
