What it is
The anode is a sacrificial corrosion-protection component used in the domestic hot water circuit of Saunier Duval gas boilers. It is manufactured by Saunier Duval under part number 05600000. The anode is consumed over time in preference to the surrounding cylinder or heat exchanger surfaces, protecting them from corrosion.
