What it is
The Reznor Naturg horizontal pilot assembly is a combined ignition and flame supervision component for Reznor gas-fired heaters. It brings together the pilot jet, sensor, electrode and HT lead in a single horizontal assembly. The assembly establishes the pilot flame and provides the signal that confirms the flame is present before the main burner is allowed to fire.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Pilot flame fails to light, or lights and then extinguishes
- Appliance locks out repeatedly on start-up
- No spark at the electrode when the ignition sequence runs
- Burner fires and then shuts down because the flame signal is not sustained
- Visible damage, cracking or sooting to the electrode, sensor, pilot jet or HT lead
