What it is
The Vaillant throttle jet 049754 is a gas restrictor component with a 2 x 4.75 size designation. It is fitted within the gas train of Vaillant VUI 362-7 R3 appliances, where it meters gas flow to the burner. Correct jet sizing is what allows the appliance to hold its rated input and stable combustion.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Unstable or drifting hot water temperature at the tap
- Poor combustion or a burner that will not hold its setting
- Whistling or unusual noise from the gas train under demand
- Visible debris, corrosion or damage at the jet orifice
- Gas pressure readings at the burner that fall outside the appliance's expected range
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model is a VUI 362-7 R3 or Aquaplus VUI 362-7 R3 (2005-2008)
- Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the fitment list
- Compare the part number marked on the existing jet with 049754
- Verify the jet size designation on the removed component matches 2 x 4.75
