What it is
The Vaillant 042022 burner chamber group is a complete burner chamber assembly used on Vaillant MAG 9/1 series boilers. It forms the combustion chamber and burner housing, containing the flame and directing combustion products towards the heat exchanger. It is supplied as a complete group rather than as individual chamber components.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, cracking or heat distortion of the burner chamber
- Soot or heavy carbon deposits around the burner and chamber surfaces
- Signs of flue gas leakage from the chamber joints or seals
- Unstable or poor combustion that cannot be corrected by servicing the burner
- Water weeping from chamber seals or gasket faces
Before you order
- Check the boiler data plate to confirm the model is a MAG 9/1 OZ or MAG 9/1 XZ
- Confirm the part number 042022 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Inspect the existing burner chamber and associated seals before ordering to confirm the full group is required
- Fitting involves work on the combustion circuit and should be carried out by a competent heating engineer
