What it is
The Vaillant 022640 connection tube is a spare part for Vaillant gas boilers, listed within the heat exchanger assembly. It is used across a number of Ecotec Exclusive and Ecomax models built on the VUW 246, 286, 326, 356 and 386 platforms.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible water or staining at the tube or its joints inside the heat exchanger assembly
- Scale, corrosion or pitting on the tube surface
- Boiler losing pressure repeatedly with no other obvious source of loss
- Overheating or lockout symptoms traced back to restricted flow through the heat exchanger assembly
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and variant on the data badge against the fit list above
- Check the GC number on the appliance where shown, as later and earlier variants of the same output use different part numbers
- Inspect the surrounding seals and connections while the boiler is open, as these are disturbed during access
