Danfoss Radiator Sensor Aero RAVL 015G4550

The Danfoss Aero® sensor is a replacement thermostatic sensor head for older Danfoss RA and VL radiator valves. It screws onto the valve body via a RAVL connection and uses a clamp-ring service fitting, sensing room air temperature and moving the valve pin to hold the set temperature. The sensor is gas-filled, with a working setting range of 7 °C to 28 °C and a nominal response time of 10 minutes.

• The radiator stays hot when the sensor head is turned down, or stays cold when it is turned up.
• Room temperature drifts noticeably away from the setting on the dial.
• The head turns without any resistance or feels loose on the valve body.
• The valve responds very slowly to dial changes, well beyond the normal response time.
• The sensor head is damaged, cracked or has lost its calibration markings.

• Check the valve body marking to confirm it is an old Danfoss RA or VL body with a RAVL connection.
• Confirm the existing sensor design and version match the Aero® service sensor listed here.
• Note that limiter pins are fitted, so check whether the installation needs temperature limiting or blocking.
• Have the valve body details and part number to hand when ordering.
