Ideal Burner Assembly CX 240/275 Burner End 013560

The Ideal 013560 is a main burner end supplied for Concord CX series commercial gas appliances. It forms part of the burner assembly, the component where the gas and air mixture is ignited to produce the flame that heats the primary heat exchanger. Gas is fed through the gas valve to the burner, ignition takes place at the burner face, and the resulting heat is transferred to the water circuit.

This is a gas-carrying component, so correct seating, alignment and sealing on reassembly matter as much as the part itself.

• Ignition faults or repeated lockouts at start-up, with the burner failing to light or lighting intermittently
• An uneven flame pattern across the burner face, with some ports burning weakly or not at all
• A yellow, lazy or lifting flame where a crisp blue flame is expected
• Sooting or blackening around the burner and heat exchanger, often accompanied by a smell of unburnt gas
• Rising carbon monoxide readings or a flue gas analysis that drifts outside the expected range on service

• Check the appliance GC number and serial plate against the compatibility list, as Concord CX240 and CX275 variants use different build series
• Confirm the numbers on the existing burner end match 013560, 1170506 or N8189 before ordering
• Check whether burner gaskets or seals are needed for the appliance being worked on, as these are separate items
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
