What it is

The Ideal 012595 is an M8 x 77mm threaded stud supplied as part of Ideal's commercial boiler fixings range. It is a mild steel stud used to secure components and assemblies on Ideal Commercial appliances, including the Concord Super Series range. Studs of this type are typically used where a component is clamped between two nuts or where a threaded fastener must pass through a casting, bracket or flange.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion or surface pitting on the stud shank or threads
  • Threads flattened, crossed or stripped so the nut will not torque down cleanly
  • Stud sheared or snapped during disassembly of the appliance
  • Joint or bracket working loose, allowing movement or vibration at the fixing point
  • Stud seized in the casting or housing and unable to be removed without damage

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model against the compatibility list before ordering, as the same stud pattern is not used across every Ideal Commercial range.
  • Check the existing stud dimensions and thread form match M8 x 77mm, since similar-length fixings are used elsewhere on these appliances.
  • Have the appliance serial and model details to hand when cross-referencing the part number 012595 against any number shown on the old component.
  • Inspect the mating nuts, washers and any gasket or seal at the joint, and replace them at the same time if they show wear.
