What it is
The Vaillant 011547 is a condensate trap, also referred to as a siphon, for selected Vaillant Ecomax Pro and ecoTEC Plus VU boilers. It collects and discharges condensate produced during combustion, helping maintain correct drainage from the boiler.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water leaking from the condensate trap or nearby pipework.
- Boiler locking out or failing to fire because condensate cannot drain.
- Gurgling or bubbling noises from the trap during operation.
- Visible cracks, damaged seals, or a blocked trap body.
- Overflow or water pooling beneath the boiler.
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fitment list.
- Check the existing trap and part number 011547 for compatibility.
- Inspect condensate pipework and seals for damage before fitting.
- Check whether the current trap carries the earlier code 981339.
