What it is

The Vaillant 010085 is a spring used in Vaillant MAG series gas water heaters. It is listed as a miscellaneous service component within the Vaillant spare parts range. The spring forms part of the internal mechanism of the appliance and is replaced when the existing spring fails.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The spring has lost tension and no longer holds the mechanism it acts on
  • Visible corrosion, distortion, stretching or a break in the spring
  • The linked component fails to return to its rest position
  • Rattle or slack movement around the spring location

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and variant, as several MAG 125/7 versions use this spring
  • Check the part number 010085 against the appliance's own parts listing
  • Inspect the spring seat and surrounding components for wear before fitting a replacement
