What it is

The APS kit is an air pressure switch assembly manufactured by Vokera for the Mynute Exc 96 boiler range. The switch monitors the pressure difference created by the fan and confirms that air is moving through the appliance and flue before the gas valve is allowed to open. It forms part of the boiler's safety interlock chain, so a faulty switch will stop the burner firing even when every other component is working correctly.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The fan runs but the boiler will not light, with the sequence stalling before ignition.
  • Repeated lockouts on start-up or during a demand for heat that clear on reset and then return.
  • Intermittent operation where the boiler fires on some attempts and fails on others.
  • The boiler runs briefly and then shuts down as the control board loses its airflow proof signal.
  • Fault codes or lockout patterns on the appliance that point to the air pressure circuit rather than the fan itself.

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model is Mynute Exc 96 and match the part number VOKERA01005272 against the existing component or the appliance's parts list.
  • Check the appliance serial and GC details so the correct variant of the Mynute Exc 96 range is identified.
  • Inspect the sensing tubes and their connections at the same time, as blocked or split tubing can produce the same symptoms as a failed switch.
