Ideal Fan Assembly Super Plus 004552

The Ideal 004552 is a fan assembly for Ideal Commercial boilers, supplied as the fan impellor and airflow unit that sits in the fan section of the appliance. It draws fresh air into the combustion chamber so the gas can be burnt correctly, and then clears the products of combustion from the boiler once the burn cycle is complete. It is built by Ideal for the Super Plus family of commercial appliances and their derivatives.

• The boiler fails to light, locks out or repeatedly goes to flame failure because airflow into the combustion chamber is reduced.
• Combustion readings drift out of tolerance, with sooting or poor flame picture at the burner.

• The fan impellor is visibly damaged, seized or does not spin freely when checked by hand with the power isolated.

• Check the GC number on the appliance data plate against 41-415-68 or 41-415-69 to confirm the correct fan variant.
• Confirm the part number on the existing fan matches 004552, and note the alternative number 1170228 where the older marking is fitted.
• Inspect the fan mounting gasket or seal while the appliance is open and renew it if it is perished or compressed.
