What it is

The Ideal Tubing Nut for 6mm pipe is a fixing component used to secure and seal 6mm pressure sensing pipework on Ideal Commercial appliances. It forms part of the pressure sensing pipe connection, retaining the pipe at the fitting so the sensing line remains pressure-tight. This part is supplied by Ideal for use on Ideal Commercial Concord Super Series 3 boilers.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible weeping or dampness at the pressure sensing pipe connection
  • The nut is seized, corroded or will not tighten down onto the fitting
  • Cross-threaded or stripped threads on the nut preventing a secure joint
  • The pipe is loose or can be moved at the connection despite the nut being tightened
  • Damage to the nut flats from repeated tightening or removal
