Ideal Thermocouple 48 Inch 1200mm 002937

The Ideal 002937 is a thermocouple supplied with a 1200 mm (48 in) lead, used on Ideal Commercial Concord appliances. It sits in the flame path of a pilot or standing flame and generates a small millivolt signal while that flame is burning. That signal holds the gas valve open, so the burner can run; if the flame is lost, the signal collapses and the valve closes.

• The pilot flame lights but goes out as soon as the control knob is released.
• The appliance shuts down shortly after the burner has lit, with no other fault indicated.
• Repeated lockouts or a pilot that will only stay lit while the knob is held in.
• A pilot flame that looks weak, unstable or is difficult to establish at all.
• Intermittent operation that changes with vibration or with the position of the thermocouple lead.
