What it is
The Vaillant 0020278373 casing panel set forms the edge and back sections of the outdoor unit housing, designated M in the manufacturer's naming. It is used on Vaillant Arotherm and Arotherm PLUS air source heat pumps to close and protect the casing. The panels shield internal components from the weather and maintain the unit's external profile.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible dents, cracks or deformation in the edge or back panel
- Corrosion, rust staining or paint blistering across the panel surface
- Panel no longer sits flush, or the fixings and clips will not hold it secure
- Water ingress or debris entering the casing around the panel edges
- Impact damage from handling, installation or garden equipment
Before you order
- Confirm the exact model and variant from the appliance data plate
- Check which panel position is damaged — edge or back — and whether both are required
- Inspect the retaining fixings and clips for damage before refitting
- Verify the unit generation (Arotherm 5/5 or Arotherm PLUS /6) against the fitment list
