What it is
The Vaillant 0020275015 is a 3 bar pressure relief valve for Vaillant ecoFIT Pure and ecoFIT Sustain boilers. It is fitted on the heating circuit and opens at its set pressure to discharge excess water, protecting the appliance and the wider system from over-pressurisation. Once the system pressure falls back, the valve is designed to reseat and stop the discharge.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water continually dripping or running from the discharge pipe with the system at normal pressure
- System pressure that will not hold and needs frequent topping up
- The valve fails to reseat after it has lifted, leaving a permanent weep at the outlet
- Scale, sludge or debris visible on the valve seat or outlet
- Corrosion or staining around the valve body or its connection
