What it is
The Vaillant O-ring 0020268790 is a rubber sealing ring used to seal a joint or connection on Vaillant VU 446/5-5 and VU 606/5-5 appliances. It is supplied in a pack of 5. The O-ring compresses between mating surfaces to prevent water or gas weeping at the joint.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible weeping or a damp trace around the joint the O-ring seals
- The ring has hardened, cracked or flattened and no longer sits proud of its groove
- Water staining or scale build-up at the connection
- A leak that reappears after the joint is re-tightened
- The ring is damaged or nicked after the joint has been disturbed
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
- Check how many O-rings the joint or assembly requires, as this part is supplied in a pack of 5
- Inspect the mating surfaces and groove for corrosion or damage before refitting
