What it is
The Vaillant 0020268777 is an O-ring supplied for Vaillant Etec+ VU appliances. It forms a seal at a mating joint inside the appliance, preventing water from escaping past the connection. It is a small consumable part, typically renewed whenever the joint it seals is disturbed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the joint the O-ring seals
- The ring is visibly cracked, split or perished
- The ring has flattened or lost its round section and no longer sits proud of its groove
- Scale, sludge or debris trapped on the sealing face
- A leak that returns shortly after the joint is reassembled
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
- Check the existing part number or the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Inspect the joint and groove for corrosion, scoring or other damage before fitting a new O-ring
- Check whether any other seals at the same joint also need renewing
