What it is

The Vaillant 0020268743 is a flue restrictor supplied for Vaillant VU 606/5-5 condensing appliances. It sits within the flue assembly and controls the restriction applied to the flue system, so the appliance is matched to the flue length and configuration it is installed with. It is a small serviceable component, typically checked and set during commissioning or flue servicing.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The restrictor is missing from the flue assembly when it should be fitted
  • Visible cracking, distortion or heat damage to the restrictor
  • The restrictor does not seat correctly or is loose in the flue adaptor
  • Combustion readings cannot be brought within specification during commissioning or servicing
  • An incorrect restrictor is fitted for the flue length in use

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model and GC number against the fit list above
  • Check the flue length and configuration against the manufacturer's installation instructions to confirm the correct restrictor is required
  • Inspect the existing restrictor and surrounding flue components for damage before ordering
