What it is
The front grille is the outer air intake panel fitted to Vaillant Arotherm and Arotherm PLUS air source heat pumps. It sits across the front of the unit and protects the fan and heat exchanger coil from debris and accidental contact while allowing unrestricted airflow. It is a Vaillant service part, identified by part number 0020266370.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracks, splits or impact damage across the grille face or frame
- Broken or missing mounting lugs, clips or fixing points that prevent the grille seating correctly
- Corrosion, blistering or flaking of the coating, particularly on coastal or exposed installations
- Deformation or bending that restricts airflow or leaves the fan and coil exposed
- Rattling or vibration from a loose or poorly seated grille during operation
Before you order
- Read the appliance data plate and confirm the full model and variant against the fitment list above
- Inspect the existing grille and its fixings so you know what has failed and whether any mounting hardware needs attention
- Check that the grille is accessible and that the unit can be safely isolated before any work begins
