What it is

The Vaillant 0020254036 is a domestic hot water (DHW) service valve used on Vaillant EcoTEC Plus and EcoTEC Sustain combi boilers. It sits on the DHW circuit and allows the hot water side to be isolated for servicing, draining or component replacement without disturbing the rest of the installation. It is a manufacturer-supplied isolation valve for the VUW range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or dripping from the valve body or spindle
  • The isolation screw will not turn, or turns without shutting off the flow
  • Rounded or damaged valve head from previous use
  • Scale or corrosion around the valve, restricting operation
  • Inability to isolate the DHW circuit during servicing

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check the valve position on the DHW circuit and that the existing part matches the layout
  • Inspect the surrounding pipework and connections for damage before fitting
  • Verify the part number 0020254036 on the existing component where visible
