What it is

The Vaillant 0020254034 is a central heating service valve used on Ecotec Sustain and VUW 7-2 series gas boilers. It sits on the heating circuit pipework and allows the system to be isolated for servicing or component replacement without draining down the full installation. The valve is operated by a screwdriver slot or spindle to shut off flow through the CH pipework.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or dripping from the valve body or spindle
  • The spindle will not turn, or turns without shutting off flow
  • Corrosion, scale build-up or green/white deposits around the valve
  • Water staining or damp patches on the pipework beneath the valve
  • The heating circuit cannot be isolated during servicing

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
  • Check whether the failed valve is the CH valve or the DHW valve, as they are separate parts
  • Inspect the pipe connections and surrounding fittings for damage before ordering
  • Verify the part number 0020254034 matches the valve currently fitted
