What it is

The Vaillant grommet for pipe, part number 0020240275, is a sealing component used where pipework passes through a casing or panel on Vaillant boilers. It seats around the pipe to close the opening and limit the passage of air, water and debris. It is listed for the VUW 246/7-2, 286/7-2 and 346/7-2 appliance families and their Ecotec Sustain variants.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The grommet is split, cracked or perished and no longer seals around the pipe
  • The grommet has hardened or shrunk, leaving a visible gap at the casing opening
  • The grommet has become dislodged or is missing from the pipe penetration
  • Water, draughts or debris are passing through the opening around the pipe
  • The pipe is able to move or rattle within the casing opening

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check the condition and seating of the existing grommet before removal
  • Confirm the pipe passing through the grommet matches the original installation
