What it is

The Vaillant 0020240273 seal kit is a manufacturer-supplied set of sealing components for Vaillant Ecotec Pure VUW and Ecotec Sustain VUW combi boilers. It is used to renew the seal at the joint it is specified for during servicing or component replacement. The kit carries the manufacturer part number 0020240273.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or damp staining around the sealed joint
  • The existing seal has hardened, flattened or cracked
  • Scale or corrosion deposits building up on the joint face
  • Repeated pressure loss traced back to the sealed connection
  • A seal that has swollen or deformed after exposure to heat or system water

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fit list above
  • Check whether the boiler is the earlier build or the R1 (2021) build, as both are listed
  • Inspect the joint for other worn seals that may need renewing at the same time
  • Isolate and depressurise the appliance before fitting
