What it is
The Vaillant 0020236857 is a non-return valve supplied in the 1 1/2 inch version. It prevents reverse flow through the pipework on compatible Vaillant unvented cylinder appliances, keeping flow direction one-way through the connection it is fitted to.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water flows back through the connection when it should be held one way
- Unwanted circulation or heat migration in the pipework when no demand is present
- Reduced or inconsistent flow at outlets served by the valve
- Visible leakage or weeping from the valve body or its connections
- Noise or vibration through the pipework around the valve position
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model matches one of the fit lines listed above
- Check the existing valve is the 1 1/2 inch version before ordering
- Verify the part number 0020236857 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Inspect the surrounding pipework and connections for condition before fitting
