What it is

This is a Vaillant gasket, supplied under part number 0020236135. It is a sealing component used on Vaillant Vantage and VIH unvented hot water cylinders, where it forms a seal at the joint it is fitted to. The gasket is a service part intended for maintenance and repair work on these cylinder ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible water weeping or a damp trace around the joint the gasket seals
  • The gasket is flattened, hardened or cracked when the joint is opened
  • Scale or corrosion deposits built up on the sealing face
  • A joint that continues to seep after being re-tightened

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model against the fit list above
  • Check the part number 0020236135 matches the one on the component being replaced
  • Inspect the sealing faces for damage or scale before fitting
  • Have the correct sealing washers or jointing consumables to hand if the joint requires them
