What it is

A Vaillant gasket supplied under part number 0020236134. It is a sealing component used on Vaillant Vantage and VIH GB unvented cylinder appliances, where it forms a watertight joint between mating surfaces. The gasket is a service part intended for replacement when the existing seal no longer holds.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or dripping from the joint the gasket seals
  • Visible water staining, corrosion or limescale tracking around the mating surfaces
  • The gasket has hardened, flattened or cracked with age and no longer compresses
  • The joint has been disturbed during servicing and the old seal cannot be reused
  • Persistent minor leaks that return after the joint is tightened

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model against the fitment list above
  • Check the part number 0020236134 matches the item you are replacing
  • Identify the joint the gasket serves before dismantling, so the correct seal is fitted on reassembly
  • Inspect the mating surfaces for damage or distortion, as a new gasket will not seal against a damaged face
