What it is

The Vaillant gas control valve (part number 0020232107) is a gas valve assembly rated at -5 Pa and configured for liquid gas (4,8). It regulates gas supply to the burner on compatible Vaillant Etec Plus and Efit Pure appliances. This variant is intended for liquid gas applications only.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The burner fails to light or lights intermittently despite a confirmed gas supply
  • Burner pressure cannot be set or held steady during commissioning
  • Flame modulation is erratic, with the appliance cycling or locking out
  • The valve does not shut off cleanly when the demand for heat ends
  • Fault codes relating to gas valve or flame supervision are logged on the appliance

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check that the installation is supplied with liquid gas, as this valve is for liquid gas (4,8) only
  • Compare the part number on the existing valve with 0020232107 before ordering
  • Gas valve replacement must be carried out by a competent, registered gas engineer
