What it is
The Vaillant 0020231193 is a siphon, used as the condensate trap on Vaillant condensing gas boilers. It collects condensate produced during combustion and discharges it to the drainage route while maintaining a water seal against flue gases. It is fitted across the Ecofit PURE, Ecofit Sustain and HOME appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water or condensate leaking from around the trap or its connections
- Standing water inside the boiler casing below the trap
- Gurgling or bubbling noises from the condensate route during operation
- Blockage or heavy sludge build-up in the trap that cannot be cleared
- Cracks or damage to the trap body or its seals
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
- Check the part number on the existing siphon matches 0020231193
- Inspect the trap and its seals for cracks, hardening or debris before ordering
- Check the condensate pipework and drainage route for blockages at the same time
