What it is
The Vaillant 0020231181 is a top cover plate for Vaillant gas boilers, forming the upper casing panel over the appliance. It closes off the top of the boiler shell on the Ecofit Pure, Ecofit Sustain, HOME Regular and VU series models listed below. The plate is supplied as a single casing component.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracks, splits or holes in the top panel
- Distortion or warping that prevents the plate seating correctly
- Corrosion or heavy rust along the panel edges
- Impact damage from tools or dropped components during servicing
- The plate is missing or has been removed and not refitted
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
- Check the part number on the existing cover plate where it is still legible
- Verify whether the top plate or a different casing panel is the part required
- Check that the fixings and surrounding casing panels are sound before refitting

Fitment listings are a guide, not a guarantee. Plant-room assemblies get modified on site more often than not. Send us the GC number off the data badge and a photo of the existing valve and we will confirm before anything is dispatched.
