What it is
The Vaillant 0020218793 is a gasket listed for Vaillant VU and VUW boiler assemblies. It provides a seal at the joint where it is fitted. It is specified for the EcoTEC Exclusive range and the related VU and VUW models shown below.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water or residue tracking around the joint the gasket seals
- Gasket visibly hardened, flattened or cracked
- Gasket swollen, deformed or torn
- A leak that returns after the joint is re-tightened
- Gasket damaged during removal of the component it seals
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
- Check that part number 0020218793 matches the entry for your appliance in the manufacturer's parts list
- Check how many gaskets the joint requires before ordering
- Inspect the mating surfaces for scale, pitting or corrosion, as these can prevent a seal even with a new gasket
