What it is

The door of visit exchanger, part 0020213917, is the heat exchanger access door used on Saunier Duval Thema Condens and Themaplus Condens condensing boilers. It closes the inspection opening on the heat exchanger so the combustion path remains sealed during normal operation. The door is removed when the heat exchanger needs to be inspected or cleaned.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Corrosion, pitting or surface breakdown on the door face
  • Cracking or distortion of the door body
  • A hardened, flattened or damaged seal face allowing leakage at the inspection opening
  • Soot staining or water marks around the heat exchanger opening
  • Fixings that no longer pull the door down evenly against its seating

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model appears in the Fits list above
  • Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against your model
  • Compare the part number on the existing door with 0020213917
  • Inspect the door seal and retaining fixings at the same time, as these are disturbed during removal
