What it is
The Vaillant burner 0020209526 is the combustion component fitted to Vaillant VUW 436/5-7 appliances. It distributes the gas and air mixture across the burner surface, where it is ignited to produce the flame that heats the boiler's heat exchanger. It is a serviceable part and is removed or refitted during burner and combustion-related work.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Flame burns yellow or lifts away from the burner surface instead of holding a steady blue flame
- Sooting or blackening around the burner or on the heat exchanger
- Visible cracking, distortion, corrosion or blocked ports on the burner body
- Repeated ignition lockouts or flame failure faults traced to the burner
- Combustion readings outside the manufacturer's specified range after servicing
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Check the existing burner's part number against 0020209526 before removal
- Confirm the burner is the component identified as faulty, not the ignition or gas valve assembly
- Have the appliance reassembled and combustion-tested by a competent Gas Safe registered engineer
