What it is
The Glow-worm O-Ring, part number 0020195536, is a rubber sealing ring supplied in a pack of 10. It is used on Glow-worm gas boilers to seal a joint against water or gas escape at the point of assembly. The ring compresses between mating faces to form a fluid-tight seal.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or a visible drip at the joint the ring seals
- The ring has hardened, cracked or gone brittle with heat and age
- The ring has flattened and no longer sits proud of its groove
- Scale, debris or a nick is visible on the sealing face
- A leak returns shortly after the joint is reassembled
