Glow-worm Heat Exchanger DHW 18 Plates 0020186154

The Glow-worm DHW heat exchanger (part 0020186154) is an 18-plate stainless steel plate heat exchanger used to transfer heat from the primary circuit to the domestic hot water supply. It is fitted to Glow-worm 35C combination boilers across the Energy, Energy7, Home, Sustain and Ultimate ranges. The plate stack provides the surface area needed to raise domestic hot water to temperature on demand.

• Domestic hot water runs hot then cold, or fluctuates during draw-off
• Reduced hot water flow rate at the tap compared with previous performance
• Water weeping from the plate stack or from the gasket edges
• Limescale or debris blocking the plate channels, often in hard water areas
• Cold water at the tap while the boiler is clearly firing for hot water
