What it is
An 18 litre expansion vessel from Glow-worm, supplied complete with a mounting bracket and identified by part number 20181043. It is a gas boiler spare that provides a sealed air cushion within the heating circuit. As system water heats and expands, the vessel absorbs the additional volume to limit the resulting rise in system pressure.
Before you order
- Check the existing vessel's part number against 20181043 to confirm it is the correct component.
- Confirm there is sufficient space at the mounting position for an 18 litre vessel and its bracket.
- Check the system connection arrangement and the vessel's charge pressure against the boiler manufacturer's requirements before fitting.
- Isolate and depressurise the heating system before removing the old vessel.
