What it is
The thermostatic expansion valve (11-15kW) is a Vaillant control component fitted to Arotherm and VWL air-to-water heat pump units. It regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator by maintaining a controlled superheat at the evaporator outlet. The valve meters the liquid refrigerant feed in response to the temperature and pressure at the evaporator, keeping the circuit operating within its designed range.
