What it is
The Vaillant 0020175829 is an EMC filter electronics module rated for 11-15kW appliances. It sits in the electrical supply path of the heat pump and suppresses electromagnetic interference generated by the inverter-driven components. It is used across the Vaillant Arotherm VWL 115/2 and VWL 155/2 heat pump range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The RCD or RCBO protecting the heat pump circuit trips repeatedly
- Electrical noise or interference affecting other equipment on the same supply
- Visible heat damage, discolouration or burning on the filter housing or terminals
- Repeated fuse failure on the appliance supply
- Fault codes relating to the electrical supply or inverter stage
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and that it falls within the 11-15kW range this filter covers
- Check the existing part number against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Isolate the electrical supply and verify safe isolation before any inspection or removal
- Check the condition of the supply wiring and terminations, as faults here can mimic filter failure
